In January 2018, the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors (NASADAD) released a fact sheet on opioids featuring up-to-date data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the 2016 National Survey on Drug Use and Health. The brief highlights the importance of patients’ access to a continuum of care from prevention through treatment and recovery, and how states can implement these policies.
